About Us
Be with Jesus, Become like Jesus, Do as Jesus did.
At The Way, we want to be a dwelling place for Holy Spirit and enjoy being in Jesus’ presence as our lives are transformed by His love. As a small house church, we are a close-knit group built on relationship with Jesus—rooted in community, united in His mission, and devoted to becoming like Him.
We believe that as we abide in Jesus, we are empowered to do what He did—bringing healing to the broken, speaking life through prophecy, and experiencing the power of Holy Spirit. Through signs, wonders, miracles, and healing, we reveal His kingdom on earth, inviting all to taste and see that the Lord is good.
Committed to making followers of Jesus, we embrace Discovery Bible Study, equipping each other to hear God’s voice, to do what He tells us, and share the Gospel in our daily lives.
Filled with the joy of the Lord, we follow His calling, shining His light in our village and beyond. Together, we live lives of worship, grow in faith, and step out in mission—proclaiming the Gospel, making followers of Jesus, and bringing His kingdom to life.
Our Story
Andy and Kirsty moved to Tiptree in December 2021, bringing with them years of experience in church leadership. Andy had most recently served as one of three volunteer church leaders at a church in Braintree.
Jonathan and Sarah have called Tiptree home since 1997 and also have many years of Church leadership experience, including previously leading a church in the village. Along with others in the community, they have faithfully prayed for people to come to know Jesus, follow Him, and be filled with Holy Spirit.
Through prayer and God’s guidance, our paths miraculously crossed. Though we had been on different journeys, we discovered remarkable similarities in what God had been speaking to us about—a new expression of church.
Moving Forward
Since the summer of 2023, we have been meeting regularly to pray, worship, and enjoy Jesus’ presence. These gatherings have been invaluable and a time of reflection and revelation as we share what God is saying and doing.
In December 2023, with the support of friends from other churches and towns, we launched Spirit Café, a monthly encounter evangelism event. Using language that resonates with those outside the church, we aim to demonstrate God’s Kingdom and share the good news of Jesus in an accessible and impactful way. [Find out more here.]
